We were commissioned
to design a corporate logo and marketing materials for
a child welfare industry software product. This software enables caseworkers
to organize complex information relating to each individual case. Once
the information is entered, it creates a "profile" of the family
on the computer screen. To represent the function of the software, and
the larger goal of reuniting families, we developed a clever image of
puzzle pieces comprising the family unit. The puzzle image symbolizes
all the pieces of information about the family, as well as the objective
of "putting the family back together." Another concern of the
client was to illustrate the people in an abstract style so no ethnic
group was distinguishable. The puzzle concept solved all of the objectives
in an original, fun and memorable way.
The logo received an award
from American Corporate Identity, an annual competition which recognizes the
best in corporate identity. |
