Christopher A. Thompson is an American Artist who works in a variety of mediums, including painting, drawing and printmaking. The objective in designing Christopher's web site was to introduce the artist and present an online portfolio of his work. This was accomplished by creating pages containing small, thumbnail pictures. After clicking on a picture, a pop-up window appears showing a larger image of the work. The home page was designed to create the feeling of an art gallery, with paintings framed and hanging on a wall. The framed images were then used to identify the different sections within the site. A tasteful color palette was also selected to complement the paintings, and not compete with them.
